Our Under 15A team had something to prove after last years result, we were out for revenge. It turned out to be one of the most eventful, uneventful games ever.
The match started and it was easy to see we were competitive and up for the fight. But this was only half the battle. We continued to focus on our own game and key aims, keeping the ball moving, control the ball then move it on with high pace. Then with our first short corner won the routine worked perfectly in deceiving Millfield, however couldn't find our runners for the deflection. This would sum up our game as we just missed out on the final margins.
Now the first of our eventful moments came to the fray that would stop the game. With us playing through the middle of the field and outfitting with speed one of the Millfield girls came in from the wrong side and was unfortunately caught by the stick on the release point. This then put the first halt to the game whilst she received first aid. The game would restart but only for 5 minutes before the second stop would be called due to some pitch checks from the initial incident.
HT 0-0
The game then continued in this manor with Charlie dominating the defence and stopping Millfield in their tracks over and over again. Whilst Thalia was able to have the vision to play through some outstanding spaces to our players high up the pitch. Unfortunately again we were just struggling to find the final ball into the D for someone on the end to roll it in.
