The girls played some outstanding hockey for 75% of this match, looking confident in possession, showing some good shape and having the skill to transfer the ball round the back and create opportunities down a different channel. We also had the majority of the possession and didn't give Millfield any real scoring opportunities.

In the final quarter of the game we lost our composure and found ourselves up against a rejuvenated Millfield striker who found the back of the net with a wonderful strike at pace. Sadly our defence were unable to contain her and and with confidence and freedom in the D she put home 3 more in the space of five minutes.

A shame as SG had played some great hockey for the majority of the match today and the score line doesn't reflect the progress we have made. There are lots of positives to take forwards, a very good game nevertheless.
