Match Report
Sherborne Girls Girls-U14A vs  Kingswood School
On: Saturday, 11 Nov 2023
Venue: Away

The girls arrived away at Kingswood slightly later then expected as a result they had to warm up very quickly (giving us practice for our tournament next Friday). Within 10minutes of setting foot on the pitch the girls the match had started.

The girls began the match positively, defending well as a team, focusing on protecting the middle of the pitch and putting pressure on the ball carrier. As a result, they had lots of opportunities to attack. Both teams had lots of opportunities with the ball going end to end. The girls have ben working on their structure especially the back four which showed today with some fantastic transfers and distribution out from free hits.

Unfortunately towards the end of the half, Margot got a whack to the hand and had to come off and we wish her a speedy recovery. The match was very level but Kingswood ended up being more clinical in front of goal, scoring 3 in total. One of our many attacks ended up with a fantastic goal by TIlda whose speciality is being in and around the goal keeper.

Overall a fantastic match to watch and I feel that the score line didn't reflect the overall performance. I hope the girls are feeling positive a head of the Regional finals next Friday because I am! Well done girls.

Player of the matches were Praise and Hattie
