Sherborne Girls U18A VS Canford

U18A had their second match with Canford this term on Saturday. Despite the overall loss, they remained optimistic throughout the match. Best of 3 was applied to all games this week.

Hebe Cheung and Sunnie Wong maintained high standards as usual, dominating all their singles and doubles with 2-0 wins. Amazing teamwork were observed in several pairs of players (Hebe & Monii, Sunnie & Angela, Emma & Cecily). Another played who won her single was Cecily Mason and well done for the efforts.

However, the rest of the team seemed to lack effective strategies in doubles compared to the opponent team, and were defeated with a larger score difference in doubles than their individual singles. Stamina was another factor, as some players were clearly exhausted after their first match due to Canford players' tactics of deep shots and were unable to keep up with the same speed and strength as before. Other score were mostly lost through net plays, kills and outs.

In general, the girls have fought hard and obtained better results than the last time. They should be proud of themselves.
