Bryanston 2nd xi 4-4 Sherborne Girls 2nd xi

The match started very well for Sherborne with Lizzie scoring our first goal only one minute into the match. Delilah made some excellent tackles and Fumi made if almost impossible for the opposition to get any balls into the box. Their team had a tricky number seven who was brilliant at sprinting for balls. However, Cordelia was able to stick on her and keep her in check which greatly helped our team. Sherborne dominated the first half and we were able to make it to half time with the score 3-0 thanks to some impressive goals by Sophie and Rosie and some excellent goal keeping by Coco W. In the second half Bryanston were unfortunately able to score a few goals quite quickly due to a lapse of concentration. However, we were able to regain focus and the rush of goals against us did not diminish the spirit or aggression of the team as they all remained determined until the last second. Another goal was scored by Lizzie making the scores even. Grace's ability to get the ball up pitch and into the box was admirable. The score ended up being a tie at 4-4 but it was a very enjoyable game and the team as a whole played brilliantly. The team captain, Grace, was able to keep the team energised and enthusiastic. Well played everybody.
