Sporting Highlights week ending 15 February

This week has seen a string of successes on the sporting front including; a triumph for our U18A netball team in a closely contested match against Kings Bruton; wins for our U18A and U18B lacrosse teams in their away fixture against Monmouth School for Girls; medals all round and team wins for both our Intermediate and Senior Cross Country at Milton Abbey, and the exciting news that our U16A team have made it through to the semi-finals of the England Hockey Plate competition following a 2-1 victory against Malvern.

The girls are now very deserving of their half term break and we look forward to welcoming them back to an exciting second half of term in which we will see our hockey girls travelling to Lee Valley to play on the Olympic pitch on 27th and 28th of February in the final rounds of the England Hockey competition, our lacrosse teams taking part in the National Schools tournament at Aldershot on the 2nd and 3rd of March, our netballers battling it out at the Dorset Championships on the 28th February and our runners competing for their County at the English Schools Cross-Country Championships in Leeds on the 16th of March.

We are extremely grateful to all our parents and loyal followers who are there to support and encourage our girls through the excitement of their triumphs and the disappointments when their hopes are dashed and they may have been outplayed. We hope to see many more of you over the coming weeks as we travel the length and breadth of the country in the pursuit of the love of sport.
