Sporting Highlights week ending 7 November

Sporting success

During half term, Matilda, Eliza, Emily and Izzy competed in the 90cm class at the National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) Show Jumping Championships in Bedfordshire. There were 42 teams and over 250 people in the class who had all qualified from various independent and state schools across the UK for the championships. The team did really well in the first round getting three fast clears. This meant the girls qualified for the jump-off where Emily did another amazing clear, and the team finished 8th overall in the country.

This is a huge achievement and many congratulations to everyone in the team for this equestrian achievement.

Advance notice – pre-season hockey training

We endeavour to give parents as much notice as possible on dates for lacrosse and hockey pre-season training so that you can factor these into your summer holiday plans for next year. Pre-season is open to all girls in M5-U6 and will start on Thursday 3 September at 2pm (girls can arrive from 1.30pm) and will finish on the afternoon of Saturday 5 September (exact timings will depend on matches). We have deliberately arranged for the canoeing expedition to The Great Glen to take place over 20-25 August 2020 to ensure no clash of dates for those girls undertaking their Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold award over the summer.
